Hi Ladies!

It is a rainy cold day here. I got the boys' rooms all done yesterday and the toys gone through I have about 3 boxed to put on Ebay or to donate. I am going to go through the clothes to and sell I think. It is taking up to much space.

Kate- Thanks, but I don't have a good feeling about this month or TTC in general.

Clare- hope things are still going well

Kate - You've got a friend request. Smile

Jeanette - I thought that you went into PTL at some point. What is your story? All of this definitely has me emotional and tired. I am scared, to be honest. I'm not on any meds right now. They had me on Magnesium Sulfate at the hospital for 24 hours, I think and I also got the Betamethasone shots to help mature our Babies' lungs, as well as some IV antibiotics. I'm not really on bedrest either since the high risk pregnancy doctors at Mayo don't really think that it's effective. They just want me to be comfortable. I'm definitely limiting my activity though and really don't do much during the day. I'm still quite tired, like I said, so naps are nice.

Post by momtoogsncjs Wed Sep 22, 2010 1:54 pm

Clare- I was officially diagnosed with PTL at 23 weeks b/c that was the earliest that the dr's could treat me. My contractions started at 15 weeks though this time around which was scary to say the least. Lots of dr's debate whether bedrest is effective. I basically did a modified rest. No exercising, no heavy lifting, pelvic rest, etc. I also was on terbutaline which is controversial as well but we felt that I had to do something just in case. Didn't work well for me though. I was blessed to stay pregnant until 36 weeks. Our big goal was to keep me pregnant until at least 32 weeks and then 34 weeks. Jillian went to the NICU for 1 night for observation and then back with me.
I'm thinking of you!

Just in case you didn't hear/know--- There has been a huge Similac recall Sad Make sure to check their website where you can check lot numbers and whatnot. There were beetle parts and beetle larvae found in there Sad

Heather - Don't doubt your body quite yet! I agree with Kate you could be preggo and not even know it yet! Thinking of you!!

Jeanette - I saw that recall and it's just disgusting. I don't use that formula but if I did I would be even more concerned! Beetle bits...WTH!!! Gross. Thanks for sharing the link I facebook too that is where I saw it first!

Becky - I hope you feeling good. Have you decided when your going to tell Nick yet?

Clare - Sending you some good vibes today and hope that you relaxing as much as you can. I am glad that other than the contraction that the babies are growing and looking good! So excited still for you. Take good care of yourself my friend! It's not long now! It really may feel that way but it will go so fast and be here in no time. Have you picked out a theme for hte nursery yet? I would love to see it!

I'm having a friend over today with her kids. I'm looking forward to it. We have made a bunch of renovations to the house and I am excited to show them off now, even though we are hopefully selling this house in the spring, so I can find my Forever Home! LOL that's what I call it! Ready for school to start and to get the girls into Daycare it would be good for them and the interaction with other kids their age. That's all for now that's going on.

Ohh Aara - I have gotten it I have just been on the go so much I haven't had time to read the new one yet! I hopefully will be able to get to it over the weekend! SOrry I forgot to tell you!

Post by CJ71903 Thu Sep 23, 2010 10:16 am

Gigi - There really isn't going to be a true theme for our Babies' nursery. My husband is supposed to be working with me to figure out a way to have the quote "Dream Big Little Ones" on our wall (he's been blowing this project off for awhile now). I'm not sure if we will have a custom made sign or decal. The walls are painted a sage green color and the carpeting is brand new. Other than that, the nursery isn't ready at all. We ordered a bunch of stuff awhile ago and are still waiting for it all to come in. Things are starting to come in and once it's here, the business that we ordered the stuff from is going to deliver it to us. I can't wait until it all gets here! I've been antsy about it for awhile now, but am especially antsy now! Once the nursery is done, I will post pics. Smile

AFM - I failed my 1 hour glucose test yesterday so now I will have to take the 3 hour test next week. I'm at a higher risk of GD since I'm carrying twins. I think I'm at a higher risk for everything, actually. Smile Anyway, I took it pretty hard last night, but have since calmed down a bit. I have a doctor's appointment today with my doctor so it will be interesting to hear what he has to say about all of this. Thank goodness that my first Babies' Shower is on Saturday!!!

Clare- have a removeable graphic made! you can try www.trendypeas.com or www.etsy.com for wording graphics. The are like $40 or so and so easy to use!

AFM: Thanks ladies! FF has my O day at CD14 and TCOYF has it at CD16, so I have no idea. I do have some symptoms but I think it is just me playing tricks on myself. I honestly think out for this month.

Clare-I hope everything is going well! I am sorry you failed your test Sad I have had a few friends fail the first one and pass the 3 hour so fingers crossed for you!!!

Heather-Fingers crossed for you this month!

AFM-Sorry I have been crappy at posting. I have been sooooo tired! I have been so dizzy also, Sunday I could barely get off the couch all day. I don't remember feeling this bad with Nick Sad I am a little nauseous but not too bad yet. I swear I already have a bump though, I know its just bloat, lol.

My BFF finds out tomorrow if her IUI worked. I pray it does. It was so hard to tell her I was pg with her going through this. I debated on waiting until after but since I have to tell work and people know I didn't want her to find out 2nd hand or have to tell her if she gets a BFN on friday. She was very supportive, but I know it must have been hard to hear. So pray she gets a BFP tomorrow!!!

Alright, I need to go rest...TTYL!

Clare- hope you pass your test

Kate- how are you doing?

AFM: I have this gut feeling that I will be on to cycle #5 in October. Sad I know I sound like a whiny person, but I don't know what to do. Any ideas on how to get over the feeling???? Sometimes I wonder if things happen for a reason at a certain time???

Congrats to your friend, Becky! It will be cool that you two can be pregnant together. It's hard to ttc for such a long time and go through infertility treatments, but it's nice to have friends that are understanding at least.

My Babies' Shower is tomorrow which should be fun - I can't wait!!! Have a good weekend!

Becky c- YAAAHHOOOO!!!! such great news. how aweful, just like you guys pictured growing up Wink

Clare- i hope you have a great shower and get some good things!! make sure to let us know all the cute things you get in pairs Wink

Becky-I am working a double tomorrow and then going to a baby shower myself on sunday for a friend. I am finally off on sundays now and each week i look forward to it so much. oh also my parents are having us over for a celebration dinner for my DH since he GOT A JOB. yay!

AFM- I had an HSG today. It went good, my tubes are clear!!!! I went to my appointment tue with the RE and IT WAS WONDERFUL. he spent 2 hours with us, and he had a waiting room full of people. I was very pleased. I am used to being rushed out the door and then i cry all the way home bc i feel stupid for thinking i wouldnt be rushed out lol. He was very hopeful and even said that he considers DH's sperm OK! He wants to start us on IUI's asap along with clomid, but since i had a hard time with it before, he said we can skip it to go straight to the shots. I AM SO EXCITED!!! its fun to have hope.

I go back in less then 4 weeks and then we will plan it i guess. what do you guys think? should i try the clomid again since at the time i started it last time I was starting my synthroid and maybe the combo was hard on my body? I think some of the shots maybe covered with the insurance bc i talked to them on tue and they said i could call them with the codes to find out for sure. or should I go straight for the shots? what did you guys do? (anyone whos been in this boat)

clare- remind me again of your journey and why you chose what you did...if you dont mind...
I hope everyone has a great weekend!! its supposed to finally feel like fall here next week! (today was 92) yuck.

Hey girls-
Had my ablation today and I'm hurting Sad The meds never took effect which my dr. said has never happened to him before and it hurt so badly. I should feel better in a day or two. Even the percocet isn't making this pain any better. Uggg.
DH went out to pick up my car at the dealership with my Mom and the babies. It will need to go back next week for a few more things but at least most of the work is done.

Clare-Have a GREAT time at your shower tomorrow!

Jeannette-Hope you are feeling better asap. I wanted to tell you I know how you feel about DH. Mine quit drinking last Thanksgiving. He had been a pretty bad binge drinker before we were married, then once I got pg he calmed down. But all of a sudden a while after Nick was born he started again and went out with his friends thanksgiving morning (its a yearly ritual) and drank way too much. He made a complete ass out of himself when he passed out before dinner with my family and slept through his sons first thanksgiving. I ratted him out to his mom and he was so embarrassed he hasn't drank since. He's been pretty good about it, but he does get cranky when everyone is drinking around us and he's not.

Denise-Glad you are back and I hope you had fun!

Shannon-So glad your tubes were clear and you had a great experience! My friend had problems with the clomid to, it made her feel crappy. I don't know much about the difference between that and the shots. I am glad they want to start IUI so quickly! I hope it works out like it did for my friend and you get it on the first shot Smile

AFM-Resting and going to watch last nights Jersey Shore with DH. One more day of work tomorrow before my two off, then my reduced hours starts next week!!! Hoping to be able to visit my grandmother this week, she has the shingles and I haven't been able to see her and we don't know how much time she has left.

Hope everyone has a fabulous weekend. I will TTYL!

Heather-I’m ok thanks for asking! I’m sorry you’re feeling discouraged but I am one of those who does believe things happen at certain times for certain reasons. Even if we don’t like it.

Becky C-I am so happy for you and your BFF!! That is absolutely amazing!

Clare-Have fun!

Shannon-That is amazing that you get to start so soon!

Jeannette-I hope you feel better soon!

Ahhhh the weekend. Finally! Matt’s having work drama that is big….they want to basically decrease his yearly salary by 13.5% which is a lot of freaking money. He’s been in this job for about 6 years and it sucks. No benefits but he does get experience. Well he’s now updating his resume and going to start looking. I am sorry to say I have no faith in it. I have heard this story from him SO many times that I just don’t believe him. I want to but I don’t want to get my hopes up only to have them dashed again. It’s so hard…. I’m just exhausted mentally and physically blargh!

Shannon - We ended up going straight to IUIs with Letrozole. We did three of those and ended up doing IVF. Our official diagnosis is male factor infertility, however the issue was just sperm morphology which can be controversial if that's even a problem, so we don't really know. Sounds like you had a good appointment! My opinion is that you should do what your doctor says. If he says to do IUIs at this point and you trust him, that sounds like a decent plan. Good luck!
