Congrats, Natasha!

Sorry I haven't been around much. It's going to be a busy month for us with the holidays. We seem to have so much going on so I probably won't be on a lot in the next few weeks. I'll keep you posted if anything is new though.

Natasha--Yeah team Pink!! I was totally wrong...but girls are so fun to dress up!!! How did your DH react to the news?

Denise--We don't have a set date yet for the move...but planning on April. I figure by that time the mountain passes through the Cascase and Rockies should be pretty clear. I remember last year they had to shut down a couple of passes here in WA for avalanches...dont' want to have to worry about that!

Ash--So glad you made it over here. Yeah for extra moola!

AFM: Nothing much going on except I am freezing my ass off! When I woke up this morning it was only 18 degrees outside. Right now at 4:30 it's only 31. Thank goodness there is no moisture, I don't want another snowstorm like we had last year (unless it's my weekend off, lol).
Well I need to get some dinner started before I brave the cold to go to the gym tonight!

Maureen~ We are freezing over here. We are supposed to get more then a foot of snow from Tuesday night on. Not looking forward to that.
Good luck at the gym.

AFM: I am trying to relax and drink coffee. After the kids go to bed it is me and a glass of wine with a nice hot bath. I sooo need it. It has been a horrible day.

Hope every one else is doing good.

Maureen - he actually was excited about. I think both of us wanted a boy, but we kinda figured it would be a girl. So I think he prepared himself for either one. I do know that he wants to get every girl shirt that has daddy on it...

Someone just showed me this link. It makes me laugh & be sad at the same time. I get lots of patients who come in after being like this and hitting their head on the sidewalk. Denise--I am sure you have picked up a few like this yourself.

Natasha- CONGRATS ON BEING TEAM PINK !!!!!! Girls are awesome I don't know what I'd do without mine.. just beware tho... it's so easy to go bankrupt buying things everything just seems so cute !!

Denise- yes mmt had some issues lately we found out that some of our forums were corrupted on the interest section so we had to delete everything and recreate that area ( so our thread isn't there anymore tho I restarted one there ) hopefully that helps the issues we've been seeing. Atleast this site keeps TTC going.. should I place this url in the thread over there so women know where to find you guys!?

Okay I don't know if it's just the fact it's 2am so my eyes are bugging me but I'm really distracted by the siggies LOL the grey background really makes them pop so I keep trying to read posts but end up staring at everyone's cute siggies !! SOOO that's my excuse for my fail in personals !

HAHAHA this site just failed in eating my post... I saved it before it ate it HA I win. lol

Post by Bensmom Tue Dec 08, 2009 9:17 am

Alicia-I’ve been hearing snow all over the place where they don’t usually get snow! We got some too but it’s not abnormal for us to get it. Yay to potty training!

Heather C-I am loving this site!

Ash-Have fun painting today!

Denise-Thank you so much for having your friends get in touch with me. I wanted to thank you for suggesting we switch his formula…he’s on soy now and it “seems” like he’s having a much better time with passing gas. But he’s only pooping once a day. I don’t think that’s abnormal cause he has LOTS of pee diapers. The bottles too…he seems to suck much better on the vent air’s. As for the reflux….since we switched formula we are trying zantac again but it might take two weeks for us to see results but until then he’ll probably just sleep in his car seat again. I hope it works cause the prevacid is 200 bucks a month!

Becky-You did have a busy weekend but I’m hoping Leo is ok!

Gigi-Thanks so much for your help! See my post to Denise for what we’re doing now=)

Tasha-Congratulations!

Maureen-Brrr it hasn’t gotten that cold here yet!

Holly-I like your picture with Gwen!

We got our tree and decorated it yay! It’s beginning to feel more like the holidays! With Ben coming so close it’s been hard to remember what time of year it is!

Kate- yay for having your tree up!

Leo is not 100% but he is a lot better! He slept almost all night so that is a good thing!! Afterwork I have a little shopping to do! Then I have to pick up our Christmas cards!! I think I will take Brennan to see Santa at the mall tomorrow !!

TTC a Miracle 2009 - Page 10 Empty Re: TTC a Miracle 2009

Post by sstjohn77 Tue Dec 08, 2009 9:54 am

Becky - It is good to know that even an experienced mother gets scared of the delivery so I am not alone. OUCH, poor Leo. I hope his head feels better. He does seem to young to be climbing out on his own. I figured I would get at least 2-3 years before I had to start thinking toddler bed. Poor Leo. I hope he is feeling better and you got some sleep.

Denise - I guess that is what is freaking me out a little. I am not supposed to have a C-section because of the anterior placenta. They said if I have to go that route then the operation becomes tricky because they have to cut through the placenta to get the baby out. However in the movie non- of those ladies where "supposed" to have C-sections to. Things just progressed which forced the issue. Yay on finishing your Christmas cards. I still have thank you cards from the baby shower to finish. UGH. She is so cute!!!!!

Kate - It makes me feel better to know that even when someone has a sucky L&D they would do it again, which means all things considered it must not be the end of the world. LOL

Adrienne - I have decided to not create a birth plan as well because I fear if I do I will be bummed if we do not follow it. This way I am forced to go with the flow, cause I do not have any other plan. :} Also, no you are not the only one who shaves for the GYNO. LOL

Jeannette - Thanks for the qword of encouragement! I figured to not do a birth plan as well because I have never heard a woman say she had a birth plan and the birth went exactly to plan. If that is the case then why bother. I will keep some things in mind however, like you said.

Maureen - thank you so much for sharing that video. I had not seen that before and it made me crack up. I absolutely love how they show every type of staff member a hospital has dancing to the music. What a great idea. I am so surprised I have not seen that before giving it is from a hospital that is close. This is the kind of good news I wish the news stations would add to their daily shows, cause I can not take only bad news all the time.

Tasha - I was thinking the same thing. DH does not want me to use anything after the baby is born. I think is hoping for Irish twins but I figure sine I could not get a BFP on my own I might be safe and if we do get a BFP then we would be happy because we would like to have 2 babies and then stop. KFC that having the babies regulates our cycles!! YAY for team pink!!! I love the name

Alicia - YAY for trying to potty train. I hope she is able to pick it up quickly. It sounds like she is interested which is a good start.

Heather C. - I like the site a lot, Thank you! It is nice to post and not lose it. Although I must admit I am so used to having my posts eaten by MMT that I am still writing up my post on a text document and then cutting and pasting it into the board. That way if it is lost I can just copy and paste it again. It is nice to know that I do not NEED to do that anymore as this site does not have that issue. Thanks!!

Ash - How did the job go?

We are preparing for snow tomorrow morning like everyone else on the east coast. I love the snow but not when I have to commute in it. I am in training all this week from 9am -5pm so I may not be able to post much. We have our final prenatal class tonight and it goes over massage techniques so I am very excited. I could use a good massage. Christmas feels like it is coming so quickly. I have not started buying any gifts yet because I have been so busy with other stuff. I really need to get on the ball. I also need to send out thank you cards and Christmas cards. Do you think it would be in poor taste to send them out at the same time? I am just running out of time.

Gigi - You can not take your own pic with Santa?!?! That makes no sense at all. $8.00 for a photo, that is crazy.

Stacey- We truned Brennans crib into a toddler bed at 2 and then got him a twin bed at 2 1/2. we had a side rail up so he wouldnt roll out. We got the twin a little early to prepare him for Leo sleeping in the crib. I agree that Chrismtas is coming too early. I do have most of my shopping done though.

I hope all of you getting snow are careful!

This sat. night is a Christmas parade. For the past 4 yrs we have decorated my DH truck and trailer for it. We get all the nieces and nephews to be in it. The kids have a blast sitting in the back of the truck throwing out beads! Brennan is so excited!

I have a prayer request. My brothers friends wife is really sick. I am not sure what she has but they said it doesnt look good. She is only in her early 30's and they have 5 kids. They lost a baby to SIDS a few years ago. It is such a sad situation. If you could please keep them in your prayers. Thank you

Hi Everyone!

I know that there's a recipe exchange board, but I wasn't sure who was checking it. I was wondering: Does anyone have a good recipe for Spinach Artichoke Dip? I wanted to make it to bring to my in-laws for Christmas Eve, but it would be nice to have a recipe that others say is good for sure.

Hope you're all well!

Stacey- Good luck with the snow. I actually wish we were getting some but our weather looks like tons of rain. I'm tired of the rain this year.

Kate- Hope the new formula and meds work. My DH has Colin at the GI dr's today to see if he is having reflux too. They will probably check for other things too since Olivia has a history.

Natasha- I still buy all of the, "Daddy shirts!" Olivia loves them! Of course I get Colin the Mommy ones Smile

Okay, I'm supposed to be resting. DH took the afternoon off to take Colin to the GI specialist b/c I have to work tonight and didn't sleep well last night. He wanted me to get rest b/c I just can't keep going for like 24+ hours at a time with no sleep.
Oh, and I had my 10 week appt. yesterday. Baby looks good. Heartbeat was around 160 yesterday. I've gained 4lbs. so far.
