Aara-That’s funny that you told him not to count but it’s so true that cookies just disappear around here too.

Ben did really well last night. He woke up at 3 and put himself back to sleep…then at 4 he did the same thing. The 5:15 one he just kept fussing till about 5:45 and then Matt got up and fed him. I’m so proud of the little guy!

Heather- that is great that your family is finding you!

I did not have a good night. I am so over Leo getting up everynight. Last night he woke around midnight and I got him. Fell asleep in chair and put him down at 2. Brennan wakes up at 2:20 and then Leo right after. I layed with B and DH took Leo. ARGH........ they need to sleep better b/c I need to sleep better!

Stacey - Not too much longer for you. I hope he comes on time. I love the name also.

Maureen - I'm glad you feel better. I hope you are getting good signs and something good is going to happen.

Hello to everyone else.

AFM - I'm starting to have joint pains in my hand. Did anyone else have this. I've never had pain like this. It doesn't hurt all the time but alot lately. Other than that I'm just resting, even though my mom says I'm going to make Malika lazy, I say I'm resting now because later I won't have time. So I'm resting on this break, becauase the next break I have that is spring break and she is due the week after. The good thing is DH has started on the pics in the nursery.

Yasha- sorry about the joint pain. I think you should rest and take it easy! Like you said when the baby comes those days are over!

I am having family over on sunday for Dh bday. I have no clue what to make for dinner. Spag. and lasagna are out. ANy ideas?

Hi girls-
Olivia is back to school today. I'm annoyed though b/c our streets are awful. The town really didn't do a good job There's just ice everywhere. And tomorrow will be worse b/c the K-3 kids have their concert and then holiday parties so tons of cars and parents will be up there. We don't have bus service here. Hoping the town gets out there today, although they had all day yesterday with school being closed.

I have my 12 week NT scan today at 5:45pm and then I have to work. I have to work tomorrow night too. Been having a lot of stress and anxiety lately b/c I'm really not thrilled working nights and I'm just not happy being away from the kids and being tired all of the time. I'll be there 11 months this week. DH just keeps telling me to take it one day at a time and that in 6 months I'll be off for 12 weeks and then if I don't want to go back I don't have to. I just wish I could find a nursing job that truly suits me. Med/Surg is just not my cup of tea. I really want to work L&D or Mother/Baby.

Becky S- I hope the boys start sleeping for you. Do you have any idea why they are up at night? Colin wakes up about every other night still looking for pacifiers or b/c he's hungry/thirsty. I'm hoping as he starts eating more and finally gaining weight that this will stop!

Natasha- Now is the time to rest! You won't be able to rest a lot once the baby arrives. I can tell you that my hands/ankles are swollen and my hands go numb a lot and I'm only 12 weeks. I'd ask the dr. about the joint pain at your next visit.

Kate- Glad Ben did well at lunch How much more time do you have for maternity leave?

Aara- I made PB cookies yesterday too.

Natasha ~ a lot of women develop pregnancy related carpal tunnel. I had it. It hurt like crazy but the good thing is that it goes away once you deliver. And you need your rest. Your mom sounds like mine - full of advice that she pushes on you over and over and over again.

Kate ~ yay Ben!! That is awesome.

Jeannette ~ if you want to move to WV, the two hospitals are hiring L & D and Mother and Baby RNs like crazy

Becky ~ sorry the boys didn't sleep so well.

Aara ~ I'm going to be doing some baking myself today and I hope I don't eat too many.

Jeanette - Around here the streets look like crap too and we got 20 inches here. I went into the city yesterday and they have better streets than me! Speaking of Nursing jobs. Maternity and Nicu and Labor and Delivery are really hot jobs around here. It's so hard to find a job in those departments at the hospital. I am not a nurse but I did staffing for such a long time within the nursing field. But if that is what you want to do I say keep trying and go for it. I hear it's a very rewarding type of career. I mean I know your a nurse but I mean the speciality itself lol.

Tasha - It might be caused my carpal tunnel syndrome. Alot of pregnant women will develope this during a pregnancy. I would ask your doc about it next time you go.

Denise - lol. Olivia just started to yell and point. It's funny she is so serious but we have no clue what she is saying lol. It's hilarious she is so mad sometimes lol. It's hard to keep a straight face.

AFM - I had my ultrasound to check in the baby's growth yesterday. It went well and the baby is weighing in at 2 pounds 8 ounces lol. She is bigger than waht she should be lol. I think it's funny to have to have a normal size baby lol. It's a relief to honest. I feel better about things now and fairly certain that I won't have IUGR again. Today they start working on the bathroom. We are getting new vinyl flooring and a new vanity and sink. After the new year I am going to get the paint and the new light fixture so it's going to look great. I did have my GD test yesterday I hope I don't have to go back for the 3 hour one that is going to suck. Alrighty then I must be going. Talk again soon.

I just wanted to let everyone know that I have been reading, but I'm so busy at work that I don't have much time to post Then, when I get home, the last thing I want to do is go on the computer!

I'm battling a sinus infection right now. It really sucks. I got Amoxicillan last Thursday, and it's really barely helped. I'm thinking it's viral, and not bacterial. Yesterday and today my whole body is soooooo sore and achey. Yuck...

Stacey - Thanks for the encouragement and prayers. It helps me to hear from people that have been through things similar to my situation. We're supposed to get a huge snowstorm around Christmas too! They're saying 10-14 inches by the time it's all said and done. We'll see. We have to travel a bit during Christmas time so I hope that it doesn't interfere with our traveling. Cute baby name too! I like a nice, original name.

Denise - Thank you for being hopeful for me. Three pieces of cake isn't that bad, is it? Honestly, I'm sure that I've done worse than that. I love to eat sweets - especially in the morning, so my breakfasts are never very healthy.

Maureen - I don't think that it would be tacky to have your manager look at your resume either. I'm sure they'd be happy to do it too considering that you are such a good employee. I won't say anything either about this cycle so we don't jinx it except good luck!

Adrienne - Sinus infections suck. I had one last week. My doctor gives me Zithromax for the infection and the Prednisone for the symptoms. Hope you feel better in time for Christmas.

AFM - I have my midcycle u/s tomorrow. Just hoping and praying that I responded well and that my follies are ready to go. I don't feel as bloated on the meds this time so hoping that that isn't a bad sign. Any ladies that have taken infertility meds before know if this matters? Did you have the same symptoms every time? Maybe it was in my head before - I do feel more relaxed this cycle because I have an idea of what to expect. Who knows. Hope everyone has a good day!

Clare - I was on Clomid for what seemed like forever and ya know my symptoms did vary from cycle to cycle. This is only my experience though. Sometimes I was bloated other times not but feeling more tender or hot things like that. I am keeping you in my thoughts and prayers for a good outcome at your u/s.

Gigi - Yeah, my bloating isn't really here this time, but I am more headachey. I didn't know if it was normal, so thank you for sharing.

HOLY SHIT!!!!!!! I GOT A BFP THIS MORNING!!!!!!!!! OMFG!
Sorry for all the cursing but I just can't believe it. I actually had to scramble to find the instructions because I was using an EPT test and the positive popped up before the control window had even shown up. That is the fastest I've ever gotten a result. Maybe I haven't been sick these last few days, maybe it's just been PG stuff affecting my throat.

I am a little freaked out right now though b/c the line showed up so fast. With my m/c last cycle I was supposed to take a HPT the week after my HCG resutls came back at 22 to make sure. Well the day after I got that HSG result I started passing big clots so I didn't bother b/c I really didn't want to see a negative test. Now I am wondering if everything did make it out and maybe this is a false positive and this is left over from last month. Part of me wants to call and talk to my OB's RN (my OB is out on maternity leave). The other part of me wants to wait until next week to see if I still have a +. Ugh!

And to top it off, I just went to the bathroom (#2) and now I am having a really strong looooooong cramp. Not like an AF cramp, it feels like I am doing a sit up and holding it for a long time. Argh..I don't know what to do. I actually haven't told DH yet b/c he was at work when I took the test this morning. It's all I can do to keep quiet right now. I am thinking of going to the store and buying a onsie for him and have him open it tonight as a early Christmas present. But I am so undecided. Any advice?

Oh Congrats Maureen! I hope this is a real positive!! If it were me I would call your OB RN just for sanity but I also understand wanting to wait. That is a cute idea for DH.

Kate - I am with you and trying to stay out of the stores unless I absolutley need something.

Tasha - I think you should take time to rest while you still have the time. I do not have pain in my hands during the day but my arms, hands and feet fall asleep at night and cause pain until I get out of bed to get the blod flowing again.

Gigi - Glad to hear everything went so well.I wish we could afford to have our bathroom redone, it really needs it so I am jealous. LOL KFC you passed your GD test!!!

Adrienne - I hope you feel better. I looked for the Viziati but they do not have it at the Stop and Shop I go to. Sorry.

Clare - I was really bloated the first time and then not so bloated the second time to. Actually I swear I had every symptom of a BFP the first time and not a single symptom of a BFP the second time. I did not get my first symptom until I was 6 weeks along. I think being more relaxed is a very god thing!

Maureen - YAY!!!! CONGRATS!!! I am not a Dr. but if your HCG was 22 and you were m/c then I would not think your HCG would go up and would produce a light positive. If it came up that quick I would think your HCG is higher. I am so excited for you. OMG I can not belive it. Merry Christmas!!! I am praying so hard this one sticks, dig in baby dig in deep!!! I also would call my OB. I know you want to wait but I do not think I could contain myself. that is just me though.

Ahhhhh!!!! Maureen!!! YAY! I'm so excited for you! I think calling the RN is probably a great idea.

I did call the doc's office and I broke down and told DH b/c that cramp got worse and wasn't easing up. DH was wanting to take me to the ER. It took about 30 minutes but the pain is finally subsiding. I am just waiting for a call back from the doc's office. I am trying to convince DH to go to bed and get some sleep but he's worried now and wants to wait until the doctor's office calls. Based on my LMP I am only 4wk 5d, so it did surprise me how fast the + came through.
I really don't know what to think right now.

Maureen- 2 questions: 1) did you get a faint BFP last time? 2) I think a quick & dark BFP is an excellent sign Ok, #2 ended up not being a question, lol.

I bet your DH is nervous! I know you both really want it to stick! I hope the drs office calls back quickly!

Maureen! CONGRATS! I have found some test show up faster then others...maybe you are farther along then you think? ((HUGS)) That is such a wonderful Christmas gift! Don't let your nerves get to you. Try to relax and I am sure everything will come out

Okay....

Well I did talk to my long lost cousin last night. My mother had 5 siblings. 4 sisters and 1 brother. I have had contact with my uncle for 8 yrs now but the sister/aunts haven't. I have all there contact info. Should I call?? It would be soooo nice to know about my mother's family and her history.

Ugh...what to do??

Oooh! Now I remember my REAL #2 question: did you happen to really ENJOY DTD this past month? I swear...that makes all the difference!
